Papillon, a handcrafted solid wood jewelry and trinket tray designed and made in our studio.

Intended both as a sculptural centrepiece and for storing and displaying jewelry, small personal objects, and everyday essentials.

Carved from ethically sourced solid walnut wood and finished by hand. A natural surface treatment maintains the original tone of the wood and highlights the honesty of the material and its tactile quality.

Each piece is individually made. Variations in grain, tone, and surface are part of the character of the object and make every tray unique.
Design Note

Papillon is formed through an elaborate 3D sculpting process that creates an organic transition between two asymmetrical side profiles.

While the top surface flows fluidly, the clean-cut sides and base introduce contrast and give the dish a refined appearance.

The rich walnut wood and natural finish draw attention to the natural grain, which flows across and accentuates the sculpted contours of the object.
