Trace is a handcrafted solid wood jewelry and trinket tray designed and made in our studio.

Designed for storing and displaying jewelry, small personal objects, and everyday essentials, while functioning as a decorative wooden accent on its own.

Made from ethically sourced solid maple wood and finished by hand. The surface is treated with a natural finish to preserve the natural colour, material honesty, and tactile quality of the wood.

Each piece is individually handmade, with natural variations in grain and tone. These differences are inherent to the material and make every object unique.
Design Note

Trace jewelry and trinket dish is shaped through a two-sided 3D sculpting process that forms a continuous organic surface flowing and dipping across the entire object.

The resulting geometry creates a concave impression, as if a trace had been pressed into the material, giving the tray its name. Sculpting from both sides also creates a convex underside, allowing the dish to balance and giving the impression that it is floating above the surface.

The light maple wood and natural finish place emphasis on the sculpted form, while the subtle grain follows and accentuates the contours of the object.
